This Pongal, Aalwar starring Ajith and Asin would hit the screens. This will be the second project that the couple come together for, after the blockbuster Varalaru.

Chella, a former associate of director S J Suryah makes his debut as director with Aalwar. Says Chella, “I know Ajith since the days of Vaali. When I narrated the story of Aalwar to him, he suggested a few changes in the script and agreed to be part of it. We hit the floors on August, 2006 and now the film is ready for release.”

"Aalwar symbolizes a man without fear. He is someone who cares for the society and the people around him," says Chella.

Ajith plays an angry young-man, who fights evils in the society. He is a man who likes to mind his own business. He has a friend (Vivek), who works as a ward boy in the hospital....                             [ More ]
