A
love sublime in the offing: Getting a start from a banner
like Super Good Films is the prerogative of only a selected few.
Director Arputhan is among the lot, who got the nod from R B
Choudhary for the start in Arputham where dance master Lawrence
had a pivotal role.
After the experience of a Telugu film with Udaya Kiran, Arputhan
is back to his roots. In numbers, Manadodu Mazhaikalam is the
third for Arputhan, but is richer by the experience of the two
previous counts.
Shaam plays the prime male lead pitted with Nithya Das. The
latter is an addition to the heroines of Malayalam spreading the
horizons in other languages. She was part of the success team of
Kunjukoonan and Ee Parakkum Thalika. The debutante looked
forward to a fruitful venture in Tamil films.
In a happy frame of mind, Arputhan said he has the ideal script
to present it in a poetic form with much of the happenings
confined in a college. In that prevalent mood, he hastened to
add that the artistes were chosen to meet the demand of the
script and not the other way round. The script did not require
any big names. The screenplay has been fashioned in such a way
to leave the viewers in a trance. Once that is achieved, more
than half a battle is won. It is then a question of ensuring
that the viewers' interest is retained till the end.' |

Of the title with a pleasant tone enveloped over it, the
director felt that each one of us would have experienced the
magic of love during the college days. 'Some may not have had
the confidence to express while for many studies would have been
the priority. The feel would have been there but realised only
at a later stage. It is that experience I have tried to bring in
which an average movie buff would be able to identify with.'
Samiksha 's character is moulded in a lighter way with the
actress trying her hand at comedy, revealed Arputhan which in a
way explained the absence of a front ranked comedian. 'Till the
half way mark, the segments featuring her will have the brand of
comedy totally different from what the viewer had experienced.'
The other credits are: Karthik Raja (music); Muthukumar
(lyrics); Raju Sundaram, Kalyan and Brindha (dance masters);
Guna (stunt); Raghav (cinematography) and Umesh K Rupesh (art).
The movie is produced by Anthony in the new banner of E L K
Productions (Pvt) Limited.
