Teenagers'
heartthrob, sensational hero Arya's much hyped venture is Oram
Po. After rigorous workouts, Arya has trimmed down and sports a
new look for the movie, where he plays the role of an auto
driver. Giving him able company is Pooja. She plays the role of
a biriyani vendor. After Ullam Ketkume, these two have come
together for Oram Po.
Auto is the directorial venture of the director couple, Pushkar
and Gayathri. Music director A.R. Rahman's nephew, G.V. Prakash,
is composing music for this movie which tells about the life of
an auto driver.
This movie's script reveals the life of an average auto driver,
who has zillions of dreams and aspirations like everyone else.
Their views about the public's complaints about their attitude,
temperament, fleecing and language is also revealed in pungent
language. |

Directors say, "This movie's story revolves around the life of
auto drivers. Chennai auto drivers are very different from the
auto drivers elsewhere. They are very cool and friendly with
their customers. They also have a unique sense of humour.
Therefore, we decided to make a movie on them." This movie's
shooting is taking place mostly on real locations, not on sets.
The
man behind the camera is Neerav Shah. Ashwini and M.S. Bhasker
are also included in the cast. V. Pazhanivel and A.C. Anandan
are producing Auto under the banner A.P. Film Garden.
"The characters are what you find in real life and the story
pertains to the problems faced by the youth," says the director,
even as he hastens to add that their best efforts are on to
churn out a commercial entertainer.
V. Pazhanivel and A.C. Anandan as producers surely deserve
plaudits for open-heartedly backing new and innovative ventures.
It would have been easier for them to go in for 'masala' movies.
But they are ready to choose hard and untrodden paths for the
sake of quality cinema. |
