The movie Paramasivan has Ajith and Laila in the lead roles and the duo has come together after the movie Dheena. Ajith has shed nearly 15 kilos for this movie and he is looking smart.

• Superstar Rajinikanth who normally refrains from attending film launches presided over the ceremony because of the invitation from his close friend and director of Paramasivan, P.Vasu.

• Vasu is fresh from the success of Chandramukhi. He has a reputation of directing action and sentiment oriented films. He had been through a lean patch but Chandramukhi restored his fortunes. A buoyant Vasu has promised plenty of action and comedy for this film.


• He has praised Ajith for his totally professional approach and said that one could see a new Ajith in this film.
• One of the fight sequences was shot in ECR road and Ajith performed the stunt without a dupe because it was a bike race. Ajith drove at 80 miles per hour speed and surprised all the unit members.

• Initially, the movie was titled as Idi but later it was changed as Paramsivan, which symbolizes the third eye of the Hindu God Siva.

• Others in the star cast are also heavyweights like Prakash Raj, Jayaram and Vivek. Sources say that the laugh riot by Jayaram and Vivek would be a major highlight of the film.

• Laila, the heroine has also got an important role in the movie and the director says that it would be one of the best movies for Laila after the movie Pithamagan.

• Rahasiya of Cheena Thana fame is performing an item number in this movie.

• The technical crew for the movie is almost the same as that for Chandramukhi and it includes cameraman Sekar.V.Joseph and music director Vidhaysagar.

• A sincere director and a hard working hero have joined together for this movie, so 50% of success is assured and the remaining depends upon the movie and the taste of the audience. The movie is slated for a Pongal release.
