It's the second time Simbu and Jyotika are coming together after the success of 'Manmadhan'. 'Saravana' is the remake of the successful Teja-Meera Jasmine-starrer 'Bhadra', an action-oriented entertainer, which has Prakashraj re-anacting the role he had played in the original Telugu version

The film has a cast that includes Nagesh, Radharavi, Vivek, Ponnambalam, Nizhalgal Ravi, Eashwari Rao and Rawat who plays the villain. Megha Naidu also plays a crucial role in the film. The film, co-produced by Amudha Dorairaj and KCN Chandrasekahar is directed by K S Ravikumar.
