Parthipan, Vadivelu team up again: Parthiban had made Kundakka Mandakka, a Tamil usage, popular on screen. So it is more than apt that he acts in a film of the same name. Karka Kasa Dara fame Lakshmirai plays the leading lady. Of course, the duo that made the Tamil usage popular, Vadivelu and Parthiban are also teaming up again. Mallika, Kalairani, Madhanbob, Vanitha, Rajmadhan, Bayilvaan Ranganathan and Amruth are also part of this film. Music is by Bharadwaj. Screenplay and direction is by Ashok.

The film is all about the struggles that a brother undergoes in order to get his sister married to a rich boy. Mallika, after playing sister to Vijay in Thirupachi, plays Parthiban’s sister in Kundakka Mandakka. Parthipan and Vadivelu play tricksters who are out to make a fortune. Parthipan dreams of getting a rich brother-in-law while his sister feels that money is not the only criteria for a good husband. Finally Parthipan realises his folly and has a change of heart.

Shot in Chennai, the film has cinematography by Bharanisri and is produced by Leela Kesavan under the banner of SG Films (P) Ltd. Punnaigai Poov Geetha co produces the film.
