Manikanda Preview: Making movies on contemporary issues is the latest trend in Kollywood.

Manikanda, a long pending movie starring Arjun and Jyothika, directed by Selvah, is one such film which deals about the elections to reserved constituencies Pappapati and Keeripati.

Arjun plays the action hero who brings unity among people of different castes living in both constituencies.

Though the director had a different storyline when he began the film about a couple of years, since it's completion was delayed due to various reasons, the director has gone in for a story change and incorporated the current issue to make it look fresh among the film buffs.

Jyothika plays Arjun's ladylove in this movie which has eight villains fighting it out with Arjun, who plays Manikanda.
